Interview with Lily Merchant, Author of Small Town Dad

What’s the story behind the story? What inspired you to write Small Town Dad?

I have always been a reader, novels got me through a lot throughout the years. I would like to help others the way I was.

What’s your favorite genre to read? Is it the same as your favorite genre to write?

I can’t say I have a favorite, I enjoy reading Contemporary Romance, Paranormal and Fantasy, Suspense, nonfiction, and almost anything else you can think of.

What books are on your TBR pile right now?

Where do I start, Elsie Spring Chestnut and a lot more. Spring Series, Pippa Grant’s The Brides Runaway Billionaire, J.R. Ward’s The Beloved and Lassiter and lots more.

Do you have any quirky writing habits? (lucky mugs, cats on laps, etc.)

A lucky mug I got from a bank one Christmas.

Do you have a motto, quote, or philosophy you live by?

You get back what you put out. I put out love and steamy romance, hopefully, it’ll come back to me.

If you could choose one thing for readers to remember after reading your book, what would it be?

Go out and take a chance, nothing will change if you don’t make a change.
