Ryan Ashley is switching up her look in a MAJOR way!
The Ink Master season 8 winner took to Instagram on Wednesday to share a bold video giving herself a hair makeover! But no, this wasn’t your standard chop over the bathroom sink or red dye after a breakup. It was a full on buzzcut!

In a lengthy caption, the 37-year-old opened up about a difficult reality she’s been battling for YEARS: hair loss. She wrote:
“Why would I shave my head? No I’m not sick, and no I’m not pulling a Britney Spears
the answer is simple, I was losing my hair. It’s been happening for a while after almost 20 years of extensions, bleaching, stress, hormones, depression… got to a scary point.”
Wow. That’s a lot of years of damage! Ryan is known for her long, silvery locks, so making the decision to buzz couldn’t have been an easy one — but a necessary one after realizing her “confidence, my value, and most importantly my self worth felt directly related to the length of my hair.”
