After first being announced in early June, the inaugural slate of nominees for the first American Manga Awards have been unveiled and the list reflects the incredibly varied tastes of the judges chosen to read through all of the titles. What follows are the best titles in terms of translation quality, lettering ability and graphic design that showcase the absolute best in localization The full slate divided by category is found below.
The awards will be held will be held on August 22, 2024 in the Lila Acheson Wallace Auditorium on the grounds of Japan Society in New York City, ahead of this year’s installment of the AnimeNYC convention. Best of of luck to the nominees!
