“It’s also brought with it some life changing lows,” she continued, sharing the story of her brother-in-laws passing earlier in the year.
“The tragedy of his passing was that it could have been prevented…The terrible irony is that 6 months later I too compromised my health while pursuing my goals and it almost cost me my life, it’s not a mistake I intend to repeat,” she said.
“While my cancer journey isn’t over and there will be some tough challenges ahead, I feel so incredibly grateful to be given this second chance, a second chance denied to so many.”
“Tell someone you love them today, or give them an extra big cuddle. Life can be beautiful and life can be incredibly cruel but ultimately life is fleeting and tomorrow is promised to no-one,” she continued.
“Have a happy and above all healthy 2024 everyone, take care of yourselves and each other.”
