Help fight childhood cancer by shaving your head at New Orleans St. Baldrick’s event

NEW ORLEANS — Cut your hair or shave it off at St. Baldrick’s Foundation annual event on March 23 to help raise money to cure childhood cancer.

For 15 years, volunteers have shaved off their heads at Finn McCool’s Irish Pub in support of the cause. Local hairstylists and barbers volunteered to help give participants clean cuts from noon until 4:30 p.m.

The Rolling Elvi is set to perform and take part in the “brave a shave”, getting their heads shaved too. St. Baldrick’s CEO Kathleen Ruddy, will be on tap, Nola.com reported.

The foundation has raised $1.3 million over the years and this year they hope to raise $100,000.

Registration begins at 11:30 a.m. at 3701 Banks Street.
