Harry Potter characters’ post-Hogwarts careers are imagined in a new batch of AI-generated images. Daniel Radcliffe’s Harry, Rupert Grint’s Ron, and Emma Watson’s Hermione are first introduced in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, the first adaptation of the book series by author J.K. Rowling. Audiences bid farewell to Harry, Ron, and Hermione in 2011, but a later sequel story from Rowling, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, would reveal what became of the key characters after their time at Hogwarts.

The Harry Potter Remake TV Show Makes It Unlikely
While Harry Potter and the Cursed Child does catch up with many beloved characters from the original saga, there has not yet been a movie or TV that features the return of familiar faces like Harry, Ron, and Hermione. The stage play has been wildly successful and is generally quite well-regarded, but these franchise heroes are more secondary characters in the story as the action shifts to a new generation. Unfortunately, it’s not looking likely that a movie or TV show focusing on the original cast is on the way anytime soon.
For one, a Harry Potter TV show is currently in the works at Max. This series will serve as a retelling of the story of the books, with each season digging into the source material in a more complete way than the movies could. The show will recast all the main characters with younger actors, once again following them throughout their time at Hogwarts.
Radcliffe has addressed his possible Harry Potter return, telling Access last year that “it’ll be cool to, like, see the torch get passed on” in the new series. Clearly, Radcliffe sees the series as the beginning of a new interpretation of Rowling’s story, and seemingly not one that opens the door for his return to the role. While it’s unlikely that a proper Harry Potter sequel project with the original cast will move forward at this point, fans of the franchise at least have a solid idea of what became of each character after the story ended.
