Hannah Brown Talks Surprising New Bachelor in Paradise Role (Excl)

Hannah Brown is taking her new Bachelor in Paradise role very seriously.

“I think of myself as Paradise Relations,” Hannah, 30, told Us Weekly exclusively while promoting her upcoming novel, The Four Engagement Rings of Sybil Rain (out Tuesday, June 24). “I am there to make sure that whatever people need, whatever the experience that they’re supposed to have, I’m going to be there.”

Hannah admitted that she’s “going to be just as surprised as everyone else” about the forthcoming 10th season of Bachelor in Paradise — but she’s taking her job very seriously.

“People need help setting up a magical moment with the person that they’re falling in love with? I’m your girl,” she told Us. “If you need some advice on how to express your interest in someone, come to me.”

The Bachelor franchise host Jesse Palmer is gearing up for a whole bunch of changes on Bachelor in Paradise. “There’s going to be a lot of different perspectives,” Jesse told Us Weekly exclusively, 46, at Hulu’s inaugural Get Real House on Tuesday, April 22, in Beverly Hills, noting that there’s “a lot of new” going […]

Earlier this month, it was announced that Bachelor in Paradise would be returning with a new location (Costa Rica) and new talent (Hannah). Host Jesse Palmer revealed that the former Bachelorette star (who was the lead during season 15 in 2019) would be stationed in “the all-new Champagne Lounge” for the forthcoming season.

“I really am so excited about this role because that experience of looking for love and putting yourself out there changed my life and it made me learn so much about myself,” Hannah also told Us. The Bless This Mess author made her Bachelor Nation debut on The Bachelor during Colton Underwood’s season in 2019.

Hannah reflected on her Bachelor Nation journey with Us, explaining that it “came with beautiful moments” and ones that she needed some advice for.

“I wish I had somebody like myself there to encourage me and lift me up and show me another perspective,” Hannah said. “I’m excited to be able to do that.”

One thing Hannah knows she won’t be doing in Costa Rica is bringing the drama.

“If I somehow become the drama, then … no, that can’t happen,” she joked with Us. “That feels nice.”

Overall, the reality star thinks “it’s going to be really fun” down at the beach — especially when she can “pop some champagne” for celebrations or tears.

“It’s so awesome to be back, but just in a new role,” she continued. “I’m really honored and super excited to, hopefully, be a really helpful addition that these contestants can really lean on, and feel safe to be heard and also be able to feel like, ‘OK, she’s going to tell me like it is.’”
