Dark Sky Films has released a trailer for an upcoming psychological thriller from New Zealand titled Loop Track. The story follows a guy looking to escape the world as he embarks on a journey in the wilderness, and a four-day hike turns into a nightmare and a fight for survival.
In the film: “Ian, a man on the verge of a nervous breakdown, disappears from the world and takes a hike in the New Zealand wilderness. His efforts to avoid other hikers are futile and he is drawn into their worlds, but he can never shake the incessant feeling that they are being stalked by someone, or something, sinister… As Ian’s paranoia grows, the other hikers become wary of him. He’s cagey about his past, he never sleeps, and anxiety leads him to make concerning claims. Far from society, Ian starts to question his own sanity before plunging into a bloody battle for survival.”
This looks like a great movie and as you’ll see in the trailer it looks like Ian and the hikers find themselves facing off with some kind of dinosaur-like creature. The movie is sure to take audiences on an unsettling yet entertaining adventure.
The film comes from writer and director Thomas Sainsbury, who also stars as Ian. He’s joined in the film by Hayden J. Weal, Tawanda Manyimo, Kate Simmonds, and Noa Campbell.
Loop Track will be released in select theaters and on VOD on December 1st, 2023.
