Girls volleyball: Several teams win regional brackets

Several local girls volleyball teams won regional titles in the WIAA state volleyball tournament on Oct. 26.

In Division I, Menomonee Falls defeated Fond du Lac, 25-10, 25-15, 23-25, 25-14. Menomonee Falls will face West Bend West in the sectional semifinal on Oct. 31. West won a regional bracket with a 20-25, 25-23, 25-17, 25-15 win over Manitowoc Lincoln.

Slinger won a regional bracket with a 25-20, 25-14, 19-25, 25-21 win over Homestead. Slinger advances to an Oct. 31 sectional semifinal.

In a separate bracket, Sussex Hamilton defeated Waukesha North for a regional bracket, 25-11, 25-12, 25-21. Hamilton advances to a sectional semifinal against Pewaukee that will be played at Waukesha West on Oct. 31.

In Division 3, Kettle Moraine Lutheran’s season came to an end with a 18-25, 25-16,23-25, 22-25 loss to Grafton. In Division 4, Living Word Lutheran won a regional bracket with a 25-16, 25-20, 25-9 win Elkhart Lake/Glenbeulah. Living Word will play at Manitowoc Lutheran on Oct. 31.
