George and Amal Clooney stepped out together arm-in-arm in California on December 11, 2023.
The couple attend the LA premiere of George’s new movie, The Boys in the Boat, at Samuel Goldwyn Theatre in Beverly Hills.
Amal stunned in a canary yellow maxi dress with a geometric neckline and a bodice with boning to create itsstunning silhouette.
The movie, which stars Aussie Joel Edgerton, was filmed in 2022 and tells the underdog story of the University of Washington’s rowing team getting to the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin, Germany.
George, 62, who directed the movie, recently revealed to People magazine that he came down with COVID-19 for the first time during filming.
He was “really sick” so continued directing virtually by watching on from his iPad at home for a week.
Edgerton “went down first” George quipped, joking that the Aussie actor was “ground zero”.
The Ticket to Paradise star said during a virtual press conference that he believes the outbreak on-set came from an intimate team dinner.
“We all landed in London, we’re going to shoot the next day and so we have a tiny dinner for the crew – meaning the rowers – our kids, and [co-stars] Hadley [Robinson] and Courtney [Henggeler] and [Edgerton] and me,” he said.
“That’s it. A tiny room. And out of that tiny room, let’s say there were 18 people there, 17 people got COVID.”
One of the movie’s actors, Callum Turner, thought George’s virtual directing efforts were entertaining.
“It was funny,” he said during the virtual press conference.
“George on his iPhone directing in his dressing gown from somewhere.”
