Abrams Comics Arts has released an expanded edition of 2022’s Fantastic Four: Full Circle. Featuring stunningly gorgeous artwork done by comics legend Alex Ross, this 2022 graphic novel was chosen by the National Cartoonist Society and Washington Post as Graphic Novel of the Year and was featured in just about everyone in comics’ best-of lists.
This newly expanded edition features over 288 pages of additional new material and commentary by Alex Ross himself that goes over his fondness for art and writing superheroes, along with his own creative process. The expanded edition of Fantastic Four: Full Circle also includes a gallery of Ross’ longstanding cover artwork for the current and very popular Fantastic Four series written by Ryan North set between the years of 2023 to 2024.
If that weren’t enough of a deal, the book also contains never-before-seen thumbnails, sketches, inks, color grades, models, and preliminary artwork, plus will also feature Ross’ own comprehensive black-and-white artwork pages.
Finally, also included in this book is a reprint of “This Man . . . This Monster!” by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby—first published in Fantastic Four no. 51 in June 1966—the classic Marvel comic that inspired Fantastic Four: Full Circle.
Fantastic Four: Full Circle (The Expanded Edition) is now available in stores and everywhere, today in an oversized special. Its re-release couldn’t come at a better time, given the new FF movie confirmed to release on July 25, 2025.
