Followers of CBS‘ well-watched FBI are on edge.
This Tuesday’s episode, titled “Worry Nothing,” first raised eyebrows withits logline, which stated that OA (performed by Zeeko Zaki) can be compelled to “confront considered one of his greatest fears” when it’s found that lethal sarin fuel might have been bought to terrorists.
Then got here a white-knuckle promo (beneath) which reveals that OA’s accomplice, Maggie (Missy Peregrym), winds up uncovered to stated fuel — and has no means to flee to recent air.
Add in 1) stills of nearly everybody on the staff seemingly standing vigil at a hospital… 2) the truth that Peregrym is about due for maternity go away (having beforehand achieved so in spring of 2020)…. and three) the overall development of “surprising exits” by TV collection’ authentic solid members, and, nicely, FBI viewers have good trigger to be glued to this Tuesday’s episode.
As instructed by the promo, “It’s actually that intense,” showrunner Rick Eid assures TVLine. And that’s not simply because at least Jon Cassar, onetime 24 government producer (and that real-time drama’s go-to director) helmed this week’s episode.
As a result of administrators are booked nicely upfront of scripts being locked, “We bought fortunate that [Jon] got here up in that slot,” Eid notes. “It was good {that a} actually action-driven episode occurred to fall on his episode. Serendipity, we’ll take it!”
If we are able to ease your tensions if just for a second, know that Tuesday’s episode (the 18th of this season’s 22), really options, early on, a really light-hearted breakfast convo between OA and Maggie, about browsing classes and courting apps. (“Be cautious when everybody’s blissful! It’s not sure to final,” Eid jokes.)
However as soon as the sarin fuel (in addition to quite a lot of sinister booby traps) come into play, “There are a lot of emotional moments” available, Eid previews. “It’s very suspenseful, and [with Maggie and OA] you get to see and really feel how necessary their partnership is, to one another.”
As for what viewers can be seeing and feeling in the course of the nailbiter’s remaining minutes, Eid suspects that “hearts can be racing very quick… and there could also be a number of tears shed.”
