Fantastic Four & Galactus To Make Appearance At Marvel’s Comic-Con

There was all sorts of buzz as to what the surprise would be at the end of tonight’s screening of Deadpool & Wolverine at San Diego Convention Center’s Hall H. We heard that Deadpool and Wolverine were returning in a new X-Men movie, and there was word of a choir coming out to sing Madonna’s “Like a Prayer.” None of that happened during the first of two Comic-Con Hall H panels for Marvel Studios. Kevin Feige, Marvel’s President and Producer, told the crowd to look to the skies at 9:45PM. At that time a a Merc with the Mouth-themed drone show took place, ending with the reveal that Fantastic Four and Galactus would be at the studio’s big Hall H panel on Saturday night. The former appeared via drones as his great god-being. The drones soon re-arranged to make up the iconic Fantastic Four ‘4’ symbol. Watch below:

A look at Fantastic Four and the presentation of the cast which includes Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn and Ebon Moss-Bachrach was to be expected. The movie is dated on Marvel’s 2025 schedule for July 25, and it’s par for the course for the studio to show off wares for next year. In the new movie, Ralph Ineson plays Galactus. He’s a Fantastic Four big bad baddie (who even appeared in the 2007 Fox/Marvel movie Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer), a god-like figure who consumes planets to sustain his life force and has no regard for humanity. He’s typically accompanied by a herald, that being the Silver Surfer.

Don’t underestimate Marvel: They’ve pulled off fun stage dramatics in the past. At Comic-Con 2022, actor Chukwudi Iwuji showed up in costume as Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 villain, the High Evolutionary.

“I’m pleased to be here,” the High Evolutionary told all of Hall H back then before calling them all “scum”

“Thank you for inspiring me for how vomitous you all are,” he continued to insult, “I can’t wait to dissect all of you and see what I can learn.”
