Fans think Taylor Swift will add songs from The Tortured Poets Department onto Eras Tour setlist thanks to clue hidden in new video

There’s only two weeks left until Taylor Swift kicks off the European leg of her Eras Tour.

The singer recently shared a clip of her rehearsing and some dedicated fans have pointed out what could be hidden clue as to what we can expect to see when the tour starts again on May 9.

When Swift first announced her latest album The Tortured Poets Department would be dropping on April 19, fans had one very important question: will this new album affect the current Eras Tour setlist?

Well it looks like the Down Bad singer might have some surprises in store for her European fans.

In the video Swift shared of her rehearsing, fans noticed that her backup dancers were in a configuration we haven’t yet seen on the Eras Tour, hinting that there could be some new choreography on the way.

And, unless she’s decided to switch up the choreography she’s been performing for the past year, it seems that some new songs could have been added to the setlist, too.

In particular, songs from The Tortured Poets Department.

It was believed that she would play some of her new tracks in the surprise song section, which is usually a solo acoustic set.

In this clip she’s seen standing with a microphone, her backup dancers in two single file lines either side of her with top hats and canes.

The props the dancers are using is another huge clue as to what songs from the album could potentially be added to the setlist.

With top hats and canes entering the scene, it’s likely that they could have been rehearsing Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me?.

The song makes comparisons between her life in the public eye to life in the circus, with a line in the chorus, “I was tame, I was gentle ’til the circus life made me mean / Don’t you worry folks, we took out all her teeth.”

Fans have also pointed out another tiny detail in the video.

At one point Swift is seen leaning on a metal bar as she rehearses, and inside the metal frame it almost looks like it could be The Tortured Poets Department logo, a cursive version of the letters TTPD in large white.

But for now, it’s all speculation.

For all we know, Swift could simply be switching up her current choreography.

However, if she is adding a set for The Tortured Poets Department, Swifites are faced with a whole new dilemma: What songs will she cut to make room for the new ones she’s adding?
