Exclusive Interview with Rising Star Moni Ogunsuyi


Spoiler TV’s Kim Rogers had the pleasure of speaking with the talented Moni Ogunsuyi about her latest projects, to include her role in Taken at a Basketball game, which premiered on Lifetime March 15th. Inspired by real events, Moni stars opposite D.B. Woodside as Splendid, a sex worker who joins a desperate father in the search for his abducted daughter. This thriller sheds light on important social issues, and Moni brings both depth and emotion to her performance.

Beyond this role, Moni has an impressive career in film and television, appearing in the Oscar-nominated The Apprentice, and will soon be seen in HBO’s Welcome to Derry, the highly anticipated prequel to IT. During our conversation, she shared moments within her journey from pageantry to acting, the importance of representation in the industry, her experience working alongside Hollywood greats, and what’s next for her in the entertainment world.
