Entourage Cast Have Heartwarming Reunion 8 Years After HBO Franchise Initially Ended

Summary

  • Four cast members from the HBO hit Entourage have reunited.
  • Adrian Grenier, Kevin Dillon, Kevin Connolly, and Jerry Ferrara got together at MegaCon this weekend.
  • The cast members have individually met up since the show’s end, but this was their first group reunion in years.

Several cast members from Entourage have reunited more than a decade after the show ended. With a cast that included Kevin Connolly, Adrian Grenier, Kevin Dillon, Jerry Ferrara, and Jeremy Piven, the Doug Ellin-created show focused on Vincent Chase, a popular movie star, and his adventures with childhood friends in Los Angeles. It ran for eight seasons and spawned a movie follow-up, winning six Emmys along the way.

Grenier shared a photo on Instagram, posting his reunion with Entourage stars Dillion, Connolly, and Ferrara at MegaCon over the weekend.

In the comments, Dillion explains that they have each met up individually since the show’s end, but not as a group. Still, he notes that “it’s like putting on an old shoe, it still fits perfect.” Dillion also pushed for Entourage season 9.

What’s The Status Of The Entourage Revival?

There has been talk of a potential reboot in recent years, with Grenier among the actors who have expressed an openness to reprising their role. As the series creator, Ellin has mentioned that an Entourage revival will happen one day. Ellin specifically mentioned that since the HBO Original ended, he would receive messages from public figures asking for stories set in their respective fields. However, there are factors potentially complicating a potential return to the comedy show.

Piven has been accused of sexual misconduct and assault by several women since 2017, including Entourage extra Anastasia Taneie. In November 2017, Taneie said that he confronted her in a dark hallway and groped her while forcibly pressing her up against a wall. Piven has denied all allegations, calling them “works of fiction,” and has not worked on a television series since his CBS drama Wisdom of the Crowd was canceled after one season due to low ratings.

Dillion has pushed for an Entourage revival, mentioning how the attention could turn to his character Johnny Drama. There are ways for the story to develop, perhaps exploring how Hollywood both has and hasn’t evolved. At least for the reunited cast, the chemistry seems to be there as much as ever, and there’s still excitement among the audience for a potential season 9.

Entourage is available to stream on Max.

Entourage

Continuing after the events of the HBO television series, Entourage is a comedy film that brings back together Vincent Chase and his “entourage,” Eric, Turtle, and Johnny, as they attempt to launch Vincent’s first film. But when the budget goes over, Vincent must ask his former agent for the money to finish his work. The movie continues its often all-too-true comical satire of the fast-paced and cutthroat world of Hollywood.
