Horii revealed that he participated in a late-night playtest of the game, signaling a significant milestone in the development. The announcement coincided with the second anniversary of the Japanese mobile app Dragon Quest Keshi Keshi and the launch of Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince. Horii expressed gratitude to the fans in a heartfelt tweet, acknowledging their support for enabling him to pursue his passion: “So, Dragon Quest Monsters 3 has finally been released.
