Daisy Ridley Talks About Why Reprising Rey Skywalker Role in New STAR WARS Movie Is “Really Strange” — GeekTyrant

Daisy Ridley offered some new insight into reprising her role as Rey Skywalker in Lucasfilm’s upcoming Star Wars movie, and why it’s going to be “really strange”

While talking to Total Film, Ridley opened up about returning to the franchise saying, “I honestly have had moments where I’m like, ‘I don’t know if I remember what I did [as Rey].'”

Ridley added: “It’s really strange. I think the whole thing will feel so different anyway with a totally different team. I’m in a very different place than I was. I’m probably going to be one of the adults, and initially, I was the youngest person on set, which is a weird feeling.”

I’m sure it’ll still be a fun and exciting experience for her to be back in action on set filming a new Star Wars movie. With Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight writing the script, there’s a chance that this movie could be good.

Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy is directing the movie, and when talking about her take on the film, Ridley previously said the new story is “not what I expected,” and “something very special,” and that the whole idea for the movie is “cool as shit.”

When talking about making another Star Wars movie without her co-stars, Adam Driver, John Boyega or Oscar Isaac, she said: So much has happened for me [since the Skywalker saga].”

Ridley added: “I feel like a grown-up now. When I first started, I was, like, 20. I was the youngest on set. It took me the first two Star Wars films to feel worthy of being there. Now I’m in my 30s. The whole thing feels quite different. I’ve been able to work with other filmmakers, and hopefully, I’ve got better as a performer.”

The movie is said to be titled New Jedi Order, which will be set fifteen years after the events of The Rise of Skywalker. All we know about the story so far is that Rey will be a “powerful Jedi master” running her own training academy.
