Cryptic Teaser Trailer for Danny Boyle’s 28 YEARS LATER — GeekTyrant


Sony Pictures has released a cryptic teaser trailer for Danny Boyle’s 28 Years Later. The teaser consists of Morse code being typed over a black screen and there are some quick images that flash on screen.

The images include an island connected to a long-land bridge, and a helmet with an arrow through it. As for what is being said through Morse code, apparently it translates to “Tuesday.” So, ee may get a first proper trailer on Tuesday.

The first two movies in the 28 Years Later trilogy have already been filmed. Boyle directed the first installment, while Nia DaCosta (Candyman, The Marvels) directed the second.

During a previous interview, actor Ralph Fiennes shared detials on the story, saying: “Britain is 28 years into this terrible plague of infected people who are violent, rabid humans with a few pockets of uninfected communities.

“And it centers on a young boy who wants to find a doctor to help his dying mother. He leads his mother through this beautiful northern English terrain. But of course, around them hiding in forests and hills and woods are the infected.

“But he finds a doctor who is a man we might think is going to be weird and odd, but actually is a force for good.”

Cillian Murphy reprises his role in 28 Years Later as Jim, a former bicycle courier who previously woke from a coma to find the ‘Rage Virus’ has decimated London. He also serves as an executive producer.

The upcoming sequel also stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Jodie Comer, Jack O’Connell, Erin Kellyman and Edvin Ryding.

Alex Garland (28 Days Later) wrote 28 Years Later, and it be unleashed in theaters on June 20, 2025 from Sony.
