MACON, Ga. — Macon’s Atrium Health Amphitheater will have another award-winning music group performing on its stage in June.
Old Dominion, a country music group formed in 2007, will perform in Bibb County on June 14.
The four-person band, based in Nashville, Tennessee, brought together several songwriters who formed a band of their own. Many of them wrote songs for artists like Luke Bryan, Cole Swindell, Tyler Farr and more.
Since forming in the late-2000’s, they’ve consistently appeared at award shows. They released their first EP in 2014 and continued to reach a wider audience in 2015. They won New Vocal Duo or Group of the Year at the Academy of Country Music Awards and Breakthrough Group of the Year at the American Country Countdown Awards in 2016.
They’ve won at least 11 awards, winning Vocal Group of the Year at the Country Music Awards in 2024. They also earned their first Grammy Award nomination in 2021 for their song, “Some People Do.”
They’ve also earned nominations or award wins for multiple songs, including “One Man Band,” “Hotel Key,” “Song For Another Time,” “Snapback” and “Break Up With Him.” Their album, “Old Dominion,” was nominated for Album of the Year by the Country Music Awards in 2020.
Their Macon performance will be a part of their How Good Is That World Tour, which will take them across the United States before they head to Canada and various countries in Europe.
They’ll be touring with Ernest and Redferrin, two fellow Nashville-based country artists.
Pre-sale tickets will be available for their “odies,” which is their fan community, on Feb. 25. Tickets will go on sale for everyone on Feb. 28.
