Confirmed cases of lice found at Bibb County Jail, Bibb Sheriff’s Office says

They say inmates at the Bibb County Jail have been treated for lice, and there is also one confirmed case of scabies.

MACON, Ga. — There have been confirmed cases of lice at the Bibb County Jail, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

The sheriff’s office says inmates at the Bibb County Jail have been treated for lice, and there is also one confirmed case of scabies at the jail.

They say that medical personnel is aware of the situation, and has created a treatment plan to rid the jail of both situations. Some of the treatment has already begun, the sheriff’s office says.

While treatment is ongoing, they says they are trying to keep movement throughout jail to a minimum, in order to prevent the spread.

According to the sheriff’s office, all inmates at the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center are also being treated as a precautionary measure.
