A COLD WEEKEND WITH RAIN AND WARMER TEMPERATURES ON THE WAY

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY remains in effect until 7 AM Saturday for most of Central Ohio. Minor accumulation is expected from light snow showers. Slick spots remain possible.

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy skies. Winds: W 5-15 MPH. Low: 9

SUNDAY: Mostly to partly cloudy skies. Winds: Becoming light. High: 24

MONDAY: Mostly to partly cloudy skies. High: 35

Good morning, Central Ohio! Light snow showers linger today with a Winter Weather Advisory extended to this morning. A few areas may pick up 0.5″ or less of additional snowfall with a few slick spots possible. An arctic air mass settles into the region with wind chill values below zero this morning. Temperatures will climb into the upper teens to near 20 by this afternoon with mostly cloudy skies. Overnight lows will plunge into the single digits to lower teens as clouds clear out some. It remains cold for Sunday with wind chill values near zero in the morning. Highs will climb into the low 20s with a mix of sun and clouds. It remains dry into Monday with highs warming up closer to average in the mid to upper 30s. It will be active for the rest of the work week with warmer temperatures. There is a concern for freezing rain as precipitation arrives on Tuesday morning. It will switch over to rain showers as temperatures climb into the low 40s. More rain is expected Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday with highs climbing back into the upper 40s and low 50s.
