“Growing up, most people know it was a little rough and we were homeless several times at different points in our childhood,” Stause, who hails from Kentucky, told 9honey Celebrity.

“And the Red Cross was one of the places that helped us. I’ll never forget. In America, it was a plastic bag with a red cross on it filled with school supplies.”

She added: “To a little kid that didn’t have the money to buy anything on a [school] list, it meant so much to me, core memories I will never forget.”

But for Stause, her life in the spotlight actually all started on an MTV dating show back in 2004.

She recently posted about her experience on the show, called Wanna Come In? saying she got paid “a couple hundred bucks” for the gig.

Stause previously told TVLINE about when she got the role as Amanda Dillon on AMC.

“I always saw myself doing comedy, so when I got the job on All My Children it was not my thing – I had to slowly get into it,” she admitted.

She starred as Jordan Ridgeway on Days of Our Lives from 2013 to 2023.

She recently reprised her role despite her character being killed off.

“My favorite thing about daytime, and Days in particular, is that the door is always open for characters to reappear no matter how they left. In Jordan’s case, death by strangulation has not kept her away. Ha!” Stause previously told EW.

Reflecting on her multifaceted career and success, Stause told Forbes she’s glad she’s never had to “choose one thing”.
