Celebrities were out in full force during Paris Fashion Week, but all eyes were on Chappell Roan and Doechii. Marking the first time either star has descended upon the City of Light for a circuit of fashion shows, Roan and Doechii quickly established themselves as high fashion’s newest darlings.
The Parisian presentation, which kicked off on March 3 and will conclude on March 11, spotlights the fall/winter collections of brands both legacy and up-and-coming. Roan and Doechii were in attendance at some of the season’s most hotly anticipated shows.
Roan’s stacked schedule of shows began with Rabanne and included Rick Owens, Vivienne Westwood, Alexander McQueen and Valentino, to name a few. Doechii, meanwhile, kicked off her inaugural fashion week with Acne Studios. The “Nissan Altima” rapper was also in attendance at the Tom Ford, Chloé and Schiaparelli presentations.

In a matter of days, both artists have gone from fashion week novices to front-row standouts.
Given their unique perspectives on fashion, Roan and Doechii’s haute couture interests should come as no surprise. Roan’s campy, maximalist inclinations are punctuated by her drag-inspired makeup, and Doechii’s signature office siren aesthetic effortlessly walks the line between femininity and androgyny.
For Roan and Doechii, 2025 has already proven to be pretty monumental. While occupying different genres — Roan, a bona fide pop girlie through and through, and Doechii, a genre-defying female rapper — they’ve enjoyed a similar rise to fame, in both music and beyond.
Though it may seem as if they found overnight success, that hasn’t been the case. Roan began by posting covers on YouTube in 2014. She released her debut EP, School Nights, in 2017, before finding mainstream success with The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess, which debuted in 2023. Doechii dropped her debut track “Girls” on SoundCloud in 2016, and then released Oh the Places You’ll Go, her debut EP, in 2020. Her mix tape, Alligator Bites Never Heal, was released in 2024 to critical acclaim.
The “Midwest Princess” and “Swamp Princess” were first-time Grammy nominees and winners in the same year too. Roan won the Grammy for Best New Artist, a category for which Doechii was also in the running, while Doechii took home the award for Best Rap Album.
The pair have solidified their reigns as “it” girls in the music industry. Now they’ve set their sights on making a splash in the world of high fashion. If their front-row style at Paris Fashion Week is any indication, they’re doing just fine.
