Cassie’s former best friend is speaking out about the violence she saw Diddy commit — including against her.
On Monday, Kerry Morgan took the stand at Diddy’s New York trial and recounted the time she got a taste of the physical abuse Cassie was going through… Simply because she was around during one of his fits. She claimed Diddy hit her in the head with a wooden hanger.
This incident apparently happened around 2018 — but it wasn’t the first time Kerry knew of Diddy getting violent with her friend. She saw her friend after the InterContinental Hotel incident where Diddy was filmed beating Cassie. She testified she saw other instances of abuse through the years. But she never told anyone because Cassie “didn’t want me to.” She did pressure her girl to leave him; Cassie always “said she couldn’t.”

Kerry testified she watched her friend disappear as the abuse continued:
“She lost her confidence big-time. She lost her spark.”
Heartbreaking. But Kerry stayed in her corner until the violence touched her — and Cassie couldn’t even stand up against that. According to Kerry, this time Diddy had found out about a relationship Cassie had formed with someone else. And he took it out on her BFF. Kerry testified:
“He came up behind me and choked me and left finger marks on my neck and hit me in the head with a wooden hanger. When I got up, he boomeranged a hanger at my head.”
Whoa… The now-39-year-old claimed she went to an urgent care clinic to receive treatment, and on the way discovered she had “a concussion,” was “dizzy” and even “vomited a few times.”
She wasn’t in a relationship with Diddy. She had no interest in protecting him. She testified she got a lawyer and had every intention to sue the defamed rapper… until about a month later when Cassie set up a meeting. Kerry claimed The Perfect Match star told her she was “over-exaggerating” the violent attack and that Diddy had agreed to pay her $30k if she’d sign an NDA. She did end up signing and agreed to drop her pursuit of a lawsuit, but at the cost of her longtime friendship with the Me & U singer. They never spoke again:
“We haven’t spoken since. The last time I spoke to Sean was the night of the assault and the last time I saw Cassie was when I signed the NDA.”
That was seven years ago. Seven years their friendship has been dead.
According to Kerry, she could no longer be friends with someone who was not “supportive” of her after she was the victim of a violent attack — even if it was the BFF’s BF. She testified:
“I draw my line at physical abuse.”
She also claimed she never personally asked for the cash — that was just sprung on her by Cassie and Diddy:
“She said it was through him, the money wasn’t coming from her.”
She called Cassie the “go-between” for the transaction:
“I did not demand money from anyone. She offered money to close the case on it so I don’t sue anybody or say anything public about it. All I got was $30,000.”
How crazy… We’re so glad to hear she was able to remove herself from that circle. But the end of a friendship is such a sad thing. Yet another part of Cassie that Diddy allegedly took.
