Cardi B Responds To Joe Budden’s Apology: ‘You Been Changing Your Tone On Me’
Cardi B has offered up a response to Joe Budden‘s recent apology, noting that the media personality has been “changing” his “tone on” her.
The “Bodak Yellow” rapper took to X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday (July 20) and quote-tweeted a video of Budden offering up an apology.
“I got love for you to Joe but you been changing your tone on me real heavy the last 3 years whether music or personal,” she wrote. “Like when I was goin through real shit wit my marriage in December you went on ya platform and tried to make that about somebody else and what they got going on..
“I know criticism comes wit the territory but sometimes the narrative yall decide go run with be soooooo toxic. It’s all love tho see you soon.”
In Budden’s video, he said: “Cardi is on my list of people I’m going to love no matter what. If I’ve ever made a joke that’s offended Cardi B I’m sorry.”

Earlier this week, Cardi B slammed Budden for comments he made about her career, as well as his repeated criticism of Drake.
Issues between the two resurfaced when the former Slaughterhouse rapper claimed on his self-titled podcast that Cardi would never release a follow-up to her 2018 debut Invasion of Privacy.
“We’ll never get another album again. I’m standing on that […] Cardi’s got something dropping with my man Rob[49] on Friday — that’s gonna be crazy,” he said, referencing their “On Dat Money” collaboration. “But that’s what Cardi’s gonna be now, just a singles artist.”
He added: “I’m sure Offset wants Cardi to put an album out. Ay, fellas out there, boyfriends, y’all know that feeling right? When you want your bitch to get a job. You in the house and your bitch won’t leave […] ‘Ain’t you got an album to do? Ain’t you got a single?’”
Cardi quickly responded on X Spaces, claiming she gave Joe Budden a lap dance during her past stint as a stripper and witnessed him taking drugs.
“I gave you a lap dance two times in fucking Starlets. You was high as fuck. High as fuck on coke, n-gga. I could smell that coke on your breath,” she said.
“I don’t give a fuck when people talk shit about me,” she continued. “It’s just the fact you always talk shit about me, Joe Budden. Out of nowhere! You would think I did something to this n-gga. For the past two years, this n-gga has only talked bad things about me. Why?
“I ain’t fucking Drake, n-gga. I ain’t gonna write no nice paragraph. I’ma come at you. I’ma shine that head of yours.”
The Bronx rap star went on to criticize the podcaster for “hating” on Drake, citing his suggestion that the 6 God is being forced to tour relentlessly as part of his $400 million deal with Universal Music Group.
“You quit on your passion. I’m not gonna quit, bro,” she continued. “And stop being a fucking hater. If somebody gets $400 million for a deal and you talking about, ‘Well, yeah, they gotta tour, this and that.’
“N-gga, I’ll tour ’til I’m 65 if somebody gave me $400 million — $400 million that you don’t have. Everything that somebody does is good, you always hate on it. That’s bad, that’s terrible.”
After Cardi hit back, Budden initially said he would never cover her music again but then made the rare move of apologizing to her.
