Cam’ron Salutes Wallo For Giving Boost To His & Ma$e’s Tour Plans

Cam’ron and Ma$e have reinvented themselves as successful sports talk show hosts, but they’re also still rappers, and hopes of seeing them perform live have been rekindled by a recent conversation with Wallo and Gillie Da Kid.

In an episode of Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast that dropped on Sunday (November 12), Cam and Ma$e discussed the possibility of them hitting the stage together, especially since they were already set to hit the road with Jadakiss back in 2022 before the shows were canceled without explanation.

“I gotta throw n-ggas under the bus,” Cam began. “There’s a promoter from Virginia named Antonio who was putting this tour together. He was on the hook for a lot of the arenas they were doing, so I don’t know if he wasn’t doing sales, or he wasn’t getting the money he was supposed to get. The moral of the story is, he put it together and it didn’t pan out the way it’s supposed to go.”

Wallo then hopped on the phone with Shawn Gee, the president of Live Nation Urban while he was still on air. Wallo asked Gee if he’d be interested in a Cam’ron/Ma$e tour. Gee said quickly: “I would put them on tour tomorrow.”

Gee said he’d been “searching around” for the duo’s booking info because “I want to do the podcast live at Roots Picnic, and I potentially want to put a music set together with both of them.”

Wallo said he would connect Gee with the rappers via text, and let them work out the details. You check out the conversation around the 55:51 mark below.

After the phone call, Cam’ron explained to Wallo that the actual negotiations might be complicated, as Ma$e has lately been making big-money demands for appearances — a strategy that Cam admitted worked to their advantage when shopping around their show It Is What It Is.

“Anything me and Cam doing together should be a real moment,” Ma$e explained. “And if it’s a real moment, it’s a real check. It’s not a regular check.”

It’s not the first time in recent days that Cam has given props to Gillie and Wallo. Last week, he expressed his thanks to them both for providing the spark that ended his long-running beef with Ma$e.

“Thank you guys also for helping connect me and Ma$e, and putting this shit together for us,” Cam told them when they appeared as guests on his and Ma$e’s own sports talk show, It Is What It Is.

“To be honest with you, and we talked about this on Million Dollaz Worth of Game, we may not even still be speaking right now without you guys’ platform.”
