Rachel Lindsay has not had the best year. As fans of The Bachelorette know, she met Bryan Abasolo while filming the show and was immediately attracted to him. However, he filed for divorce early this year. Now, he is demanding more money in alimony support and saying that she is using the divorce to garner public sympathy.
Rachel was on the 13th season of The Bachelorette. Because of her instant connection to Bryan, she gave him the first impression rose. The two got married in an intimate ceremony in Mexico in 2019 and were seemingly happy. However, he filed for divorce in January of this year, and Rachel has said she found out via a text message.
Now, according to TMZ, Bryan is saying he needs more money from Rachel to survive.
Currently, she is offering to pay him $9,882 per month in support. Legal documents that the outlet obtained say that he needs about $16,275 per month to live and pay his bills.
As many know, Bryan has a chiropractor business, and he says all the money from it goes to bills such as car expenses, food, insurance, and even entertainment. According to the documents obtained, he says, “After I pay monthly expenses there is nothing left.”
Money isn’t the only thing Bryan brings up. Previously, Rachel stated that she was blindsided by the divorce filing. Bryan, though, is saying that this is not the case and that she’s “making a PR play to garner public sympathy.” The two still share the marital home, but Bryan says he’s been staying with friends to avoid the “toxic environment” at the house. He also says that she has changed various passwords around the home to deny him use. This includes access to the internet.
Bryan recently stated that his monthly income was $1,341. However, Rachel states in court documents that she believes his income might be closer to $13,413 while she makes about $61,019 per month.
