LIZELLA, Ga. — The Bibb County Fire Department responded to a house fire in Lizella on Tuesday.
According to Lt. Kyle Murray crews were called out to a home on Micheal Drive in Lizella around 7:05 p.m.
He says the person in the home was cooking when a grease fire started.
The one person in the home was able to make it out safely.
Murray says crews contained the fire around 7:35 p.m.
He says the house sustained severe damage.
