Spelling, now 50, has had quite the career, releasing numerous books, starring in her own reality shows, and continuing to act, as well as raise five children with her husband Dean McDermott.
Spelling also hosts a podcast 9021OMG with fellow Beverly Hills 90210 alum, Jennie Garth, where they reminisce on the era and spill new tea to devoted fans.
It was in a recent episode that a 90210 producer and writer, Charles Rosin, revealed to Spelling that the reason her character, Donna, was a virgin for so long was because it was a decision made by Spelling’s dad and show producer, Aaron Spelling.
“I remember very clearly when he said to me that Donna should be a virgin. And it was like, ‘Yes, absolutely, she should’,” Rosin explained.
Spelling revealed she “never knew” where this idea had come from but “always suspected” it was her father.
