BAFTA TV awards 2025 nominations: Aussie comedy Colin From Accounts nabs nomination as Baby Reindeer leads with eight nods

Australian comedy series Colin From Accounts has landed a nomination for British television’s biggest awards show.

The show, made by and starring husband and wife duo Patrick Brammall and Harriet Dyer, is the only Aussie offering to land a nod for this year’s BAFTA TV awards.

The Binge series, which airs on the BBC in the UK, was announced overnight among the nominees in the International category.

It’ll go up against After The Party (New Zealand), Say Nothing (Ireland), juggernaut Shōgun (US), Jodie Foster’s True Detective: Night Country (US) and You Are Not Alone: Fighting The Wolfpack (Spain).

Richard Gadd’s autobiographical Netflix mini-series Baby Reindeer leads the nominations, scoring a total of eight nods.

Gadd’s tale of being stalked while working at a bar in Scotland as he tried to get his stand-up career going, has been one of the biggest dramas of the past year.

The chilling series has already earned – and won – multiple nominations across the US and UK with the Emmy Awards, Golden Globes, SAG Awards, National Television Awards and Royal Television Society, among others.

The show will go up against Lost Boys and Fairies, Mr Bates vs the Post Office and One Day in the Limited Drama category.

Mr Bates vs The Post Office, Disney+’s Rivals and Apple TV+’s Slow Horses all scored six nominations each, including Leading Actor nods for Toby Jones, David Tennant and Gary Oldman respectively.

Elsewhere, Damian Lewis scored a Supporting Actor nod for his work in Wolf Hall: The Mirror and the Light, while hosts Graham Norton and Claudia Winkleman were both named in the Entertainment Performance category.

Docuseries In Vogue: The 90s featuring a raft of A-List supermodels and celebrities, is among the Factual Entertainment nominees, which could potentially turn the red carpet into a catwalk when the awards show takes place on May 11.

The ceremony will be hosted by Scottish-born Hollywood star Alan Cumming and will air in Australia on BritBox.
