Ark: Survival Ascended Finally Arrives On Xbox After Delays

There are no more setbacks for Ark: Survival Ascended on Xbox Series X|S. The dinosaur game will finally release on the Microsoft consoles at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET today, November 21, with official servers going online “a few hours after launch,” according to Studio Wildcard.

The developer revealed the arrival time on Xbox Series X|S on Twitter/X, along with a delay for the PS5 edition of the remake. “We’re still working closely with Sony on PlayStation 5 certification for Ark: Survival Ascended,” said Studio Wildcard. “While we have been targeting a late November launch, today we’ve encountered some issues which will require additional time.”

As such, the game will aim to come out on PS5 in early December. Ark: Survival Ascended also saw a last-minute delay on Xbox last week because it was “going through the certification process.” That was after there were “critical issues” with the remake on consoles in October, pushing back the release date. However, Ark: Survival Ascended did surprise-launch on PC in October, costing $40.50 on Steam Early Access.

The remake isn’t the only big project in the works at Studio Wildcard. The developer plans to release Ark 2 in 2024, featuring Fast X star Vin Diesel. Like Ark: Survival Ascended, the sequel will also utilize Unreal Engine 5.
