Ariana Madix’s Sandwich Shop Has Regressed in Video

Ariana Madix claims her and Katie Maloney‘s sandwich shop is ready to go. But judging by new footage of the restaurant, that doesn’t seem to be the case.

As the Vanderpump Rules star, 38, participated in a book tour event for her latest publication, Single AF Cocktails: Drinks for Bad B*tches, insisting that she and Katie, 37, were on the cusps of opening their highly-anticipated venue, a TikTok user shared a clip of the exterior of Something About Her, which appeared to be less ready for an opening than it was months ago.

“Nothing about her!” Bravo Snark Side deemed the shop on February 5, sharing footage from TikTok’s The Witty Wonder. “The sandwich shop has further regressed away from opening!”

Although the patio has been removed and the Something About Her signage has been taken down, Ariana insisted during her Single AF: An Evening for Bad B*tches show on January 31 in New York City that she and Katie have “everything ready to go.”

After confirming she’s “excited” to open the venue’s doors, Ariana suggested she and Katie would be moving ahead with an opening date in the coming days.

“I just talked to Katie earlier today and we are at a point now with permitting and everything that we, hopefully, I’m thinking in the next day or two, will have official word that we can just move into the fun stuff, which is actually being able to legally have the product in the actual restaurant and start getting this menu and this ordering and everything going,” Ariana shared, according to an attendee who spoke to The U.S. Sun on February 1.

“We have everything ready to go! So, like, literally the second that I have a [opening] day, you guys will know so hard because me and Katie are chomping at that motherf**king bit so hard,” she continued. “We are just like… We can’t wait to have other issues. Like, I can’t wait to have issues of, like, staff calling out.”

According to the outlet, Ariana and Katie, who’ve spent $1 million on renovations, are still waiting on several permits and a liquor license for Something About Her.

In other Ariana Madix news, the Pump Rules cast member spoke of landing the role of Roxie Hart in Broadway’s Chicago during an interview last week.

“There was an initial call where there was like, some interest and that was when I fully broke down in tears, crying because this has been something I’ve wanted to do my whole life,” Ariana recalled on Good Morning America. “So then I had to do a singing audition, I had to do a dance audition, I had to do an acting audition. So when I found out I got it, that’s when it really, really started to set in.”

At the end of last month, Ariana officially began her weeks-long run. And looking back, Ariana admitted she was “terrified” to make her debut.

“Opening night was crazy. It was so much fun. I was terrified but it felt like a rock concert,” she exclaimed.

Moving on to Pump Rules, Ariana noted that season 11 began filming “very soon after” the season 10 reunion, which saw her and her co-stars facing off with Tom Sandoval, 41, and Rachel “Raquel” Leviss, 29, over the months-long affair that went behind her back.

“It’s this time capsule of this very initial phase of me uprooting and healing and just going through every stage of emotions, being vulnerable,” she explained. “It was difficult and I knew it was going to be a really tough summer but I felt like I owe it to these amazing people who watch our show and who have supported me to just put it out there, be raw, and be vulnerable and let them see me at this phase.”

While Ariana did her best to be honest with viewers, she has faced backlash from some who’ve expected her to move on quickly. Still, as she noted, many followers of the show don’t understand the timeline of production.

“Things air so much longer after [they take place]. You do get people who are saying, ‘Why haven’t you done this and that and the other thing?’ And like, ‘Well, it’s February. This was June,’” she stated.

“There’s a lot that they will never know. They feel like they do know everything and to be fair, they do know a lot but there’s a lot they’ll never know,” she added.

As for the success she’s seen since “Scandoval” broke nearly one year ago, Ariana admitted it’s been “bittersweet.”

“It is a little bittersweet because I certainly didn’t want or expect things to go the way they went and I think about my dad and my grandma not being able to see me on this stage … but being able to share this with my mom and my brother and just being able to know that when you’re put through the fire, I think you realize sometimes that you can do hard things that you didn’t think you could and I think that’s a lesson I learned,” she concluded.
