Anime NYC ’23: DENPA/KUMA Licensing Announcement Roundup

Next on the list of licensing announcements from Anime NYC 2023 comes from a collaborative panel by DENPA and KUMA. Each publisher only announced one title a piece, but they were big ones that should get their fans excited.

Here are the Denpa licensing announcements:

Odd Taxi (Debuts Late 2024/Early 2025)

Author: Kazuya Konomoto
Artist: Takeichi Abaraya

Odokawa is a slightly eccentric taxi driver who just wants to live an ordinary life, taxing some quirky customers around. Being a bit of a loner, Odokawa doesn’t have many people he can call his friends besides his family doctor Gouriki and his high school classmate Kakihana. Odokawa’s boring, ordinary life is about to be flipped upside down when the case of a missing girl begins to lead his way, with the Yakuza and two corrupt police officers now on his tail!

This will be the perfect pickup for fans of the critically acclaimed anime released in 2021!

Here are the licensing announcements from KUMA:

Wolf Pack

Creator: Billy Balibally

In the land of the North Pole, where the two wolf clans share their rule, Garm, the valley wolf chieftain, abided by a certain convention and made a pledge with Hati, the leader of the lake wolves. While Garm is tough and bold, Hati is serious and pure-hearted. At first, these two opposing alphas could not get along, but once they began to share and learn from each other’s way of life, their bond began to deepen, slowly turning them into a pair of mates.
