Day 2 in Nashville brings various emotions for these Real Housewives of Atlanta. It may be Porsha‘s birthday, but, according to Shamea, “these heifers” cannot seem to understand it is not their day. Drew arrives uninvited (thanks, Angela !), but it’s Dennis’s choices that truly set Porsha off. After drinking too much, Porsha threatens to sleep with Angela’s husband…, which we all know, never ends well.
The ladies are still trying to wrap their minds around why Angela would advocate for Drew to come to Porsha’s birthday party. It is NOT Angela’s trip, so she really has no business inviting anyone, let alone Drew!
Shamea steals away to call into a doctor’s appointment for her daughter. She is beyond thankful for her husband and all that he does, so she feels like he deserves the son he has always wanted.
Angela catches up with Cynthia and attempts to explain her loyalty to Drew. Angela didn’t think it was fair for the ladies to be talking about Drew, when Drew is not even there to defend herself. But, Cynthia reminds Angela that things are different when baby daddies are involved…
Despite not having a true invitation from Porsha, the birthday girl, Drew arrives and greets the group by shouting out “howdy b*tches.” Drew’s reasoning for coming is that she has been friends with Porsha for years, so she is grateful Angela gave her this chance to smooth things over and find resolve with Porsha. LOL.
As Porsha gets glammed up, she noshes on some ribs from the night before and preps to see Drew. She feels like Angela is gaslighting her with this situation, but nonetheless, she still gives Drew a nice hug hello- an attempt to keep the afternoon drama free.
On the way to the activities, Shamea become emotional. She talks about her abusive first marriage back in 2018. She shares how one time, he hit her so hard she popped out of her red bottom shoes. Shamea didn’t think that people would believe her story, even after sharing it at Kenya‘s Domestiv Abuse PSA back in 2008; however, a woman just texted her, apologizing for not believing her.
Cynthia’s heart goes out to Shamea. She understands domestic abuse since it happened to her mother, who also spoke at the same event. They bond together and then pull it together just in time to have a little fun.
Porsha, Shamea, and Kelli head to Coyote Ugly, while Angela, Drew, Cynthia, and Brit go to whiskey tasting. They are busy nosing the whiskey, as the Coyote Ugly girls are ripping sexy shots. Drew thinks it would be fun to extend an olive branch to Porsha with a bottle of whiskey, but who knows if that will work.
Porsha has decided to have a cowboy dinner at home and things seem like they will be fine, considering they’re all lit already. Porsha remains confused about Angela, and begins concocting an interesting theory. Angela said, “I heard Kelli was throwing a little shade to me about Drew last night” and so Porsha thinks that Angela is trying to provoke everyone to have a negative vibe towards Drew. Interesting…
In the meantime, Angela thinks Porsha is hurt because she invited Drew. However, Brit feels like Angela was playing the victim by claiming she was “catching the heat” defending Drew. Um, Brit. Pot meet kettle. How quickly this conversation turns to you. Brit thought she would have gotten more support at the peace brunch. Angela feels like Brit came off a bit “entitled” the way she walked into it.
Drew reminds Brit that by showing up for her, they were showing support. But Cynthia lets the ladies know they can’t pick on Brit for the way she came into a place. Cynthia was not there to see how this all went down, so it is funny that she is giving her two cents. Angela apologizes, however, Brit continues to cry.
Drew explains that she was not trying to minimize Brit’s feelings, but it is clear she is over Brit by her face. Angela admits that she was trying to hurt Brit in that moment, but now all the issues can go on the back burner. They can empathize with Brit, but also still love Kenya-it does seem odd that Drew is defending Kenya more than Cynthia is…
The groups arrive home and prep for their evening. Brit thanks Cynthia for her compassion and support and things seem to be on the up and up…until Porsha comes to dinner dressed in all black: “ain’t a good sign.” It turns out that Porsha got a phone call stating that Dennis has actually been filming for the show with Drew. Two months ago, Porsha specifically had this conversation with Dennis, but just 8 days later, he went against his word and allowed cameras with Drew. Porsha is disappointed that Dennis chose “opportunity over family.”
Porsha, naturally, does not make any of this known. Instead, she shoots daggers with her eyes after their line-dancing lesson. Porsha’s energy has gone DOWN and it is only a matter of time before she explodes.
Brit explains that a lot got resolved during whiskey tasting, but Angela is still unsure how she comes across as a victim. She muses how she can be called a gaslighter, but dances around the fact that Drew was not on the call when Porsha invited the ladies to Nashville.
Angela wants everyone to be held just as accountable as she constantly is, so she demands to know the answer to the question Kelli asked about Porsha awhile back: “Why did she take that woman’s husband?” After all, the world wants answers!
Instead of answering Angela, Porsha blurts out that she wants Angela to kiss her a*s, and to that, Angela retorts, “the rest of the world can kiss you’re a*s.” All Angela is doing is asking the question that everyone wants to know!
Because things aren’t awkward enough, Drew asks Porsha if she is good with her being there. Porsha replies stoically, “you straight,” which seems nasty nice to Drew. Drew excuses herself since she is tired of the ‘tude from Porsha, but Porsha lets Drew go, especially since she a.) was not invited in the first place and b.) is getting too close to Dennis.
Some birthday dinner. Porsha pouts and Drew is over subjecting herself to insults and attacks. Porsha is mainly bummed about Dennis’s choice to film with Drew and she lets Cynthia know her feelings in a truly honest, eyelashes off, kind of conversation.
Porsha feels like this is a pile on and so her negative energy wasn’t directed towards anyone specific. She is annoyed she had to find out about Dennis and Drew second-hand, but since Dennis is the one obligated to her, HE will be getting the brunt of Porsha’s anger.
After a pep talk with Cynthia, things turn around for Porsha. They pile into the pool…well, all but Angela. She stayed back quietly, until she heard some things she wishes she didn’t hear around 2:30 am. She began recording the ladies from her room, but then makes her way down once she hears Porsha say, “I should f*ck Charles.” Porsha got of there real fast and claims she didn’t say anything, but her castmates say otherwise.
In confessionals, they blurt out that Charles allegedly has another baby and that Charles allegedly is always out with other women. They also remember Porsha saying, “she [Angela] better stop or else I’ll f*ck her husband.”
Angela knows that Porsha already stole someone’s husband, so… Angela refuses to be fake, as she is tired of getting attacked and tired of the fake sh*t. She is grown and realizes that “all of them are puppets to Porsha.”
