Ally Lewber is setting the record straight after Teddi Mellencamp suggested James Kennedy had gotten physical with her after the MTV Movie & TV Awards in 2022 on a recent episode of her and Tamra Judge‘s podcast, Two Ts in a Pod.

While appearing on Scheana Shay‘s podcast on Friday, the Vanderpump Rules star, 28, responded to Teddi’s story, which Scheana, 38, explained in detail, admitting to fighting with James after the event but insisting that James, 32, has never been violent with her.

“She said that they were headed to an afterparty at TomTom. And during that car ride, there was an altercation between two people in the car, which made [them] have to get out of the car,” Scheana shared on the February 9 episode of Scheananigans, via Bravo Snark Side on Instagram. “[They had to] separate the two individuals in the car. And further suggested that James was involved, and now there’s rumors flying around that Teddi might be hinting at an altercation between you and James.”

After noting that she is “good,” Ally confirmed Teddi’s story “never happened.”

“There was no physical altercation,” she stated. “Yes, we were in the car together. I thought we were having fun. We were having fun. But then James and I did get into an argument, but there was no physical assault. I was not bleeding, and they didn’t have to get out of the car and separate us. So that didn’t happen.”

“And for the record, James has never physically hurt or assaulted me,” she added.

According to Ally, she and James, who she began dating in early 2022, shortly after his split from Rachel “Raquel” Leviss, 29, are “good” and “happy” as he continues “working on himself.”

“I know in the past that he has [had] anger issues. So I get it,” she continued. “But I just want people to know that I’m good and I’m safe and I love him.”

Scheana then questioned Ally if James was drinking at the time of their argument, and Ally confirmed he was.

“We were all drunk in the back of that car. Yeah, that’s true,” Ally admitted. “But nothing happened like, physically. I mean, we went to TomTom … We showed up at TomTom and we had fun. It was, like, a good night.”

As for whether or not James quit drinking due to their dispute, Ally said that wasn’t the case, instead signaling to an overall theme that was happening between them when alcohol was involved.

“I don’t think that that was like, the moment or like, the night when we were like, ‘Ok, drinking is not great.’ But we would fight when we would drink. Me too,” she shared. “When you drink that much and in those environments, it is not great. That’s not who we really are. That’s an example, though, of why he shouldn’t drink.”

Because both Raquel and Kristen Doute, 40, have alluded to James’ potential violent behavior, many Pump Rules fans have reached out to Ally, wondering if she’s okay.

“I’m like, do I go on my Instagram and be like, ‘I’m good, guys?’ Like, I don’t know how to navigate these types of things. And this is something that’s very serious. And I do appreciate everyone worried about me. But I do want everyone to know I’m good,” she concluded.

Vanderpump Rules season 11 airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
