Adele B. Furtick, 83, of Loganville – Your Local News

Adele B. Furtick age 83, of Loganville, GA., passed away Saturday, August 10, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Bernard and Virginia Page Betsill. She is survived by her husband, Sam Furtick; daughters, Barbara (Mike) Miller and Paige (Nunnie) Smith; grandchildren, Shelby (Drew) King and Dillon Smith.

Adele graduated from Dreher High School in Columbia, SC. She worked in the school system as a secretary at W.C. Britt for several years. She later left and went to work for Dekalb County where she held several positions with Dekalb County in the departments of Roads and Drainage, Traffic Engineering, and the Juvenile Court. She would want you to know that the job she enjoyed most was being a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

Adele was a member of Snellville Community Church and part of Georgia Pathway East Walk to Emmaus. She had several hobbies which included ceramics, animals and feeding more animals (she always kept food in her car just in case), reading, sending cards and growing flowers. She loved listening to music and a lot of music, she had an infectious laugh, she was always smiling and never forgot to ask someone how they were doing.

There are several things Adele would want you to know; The Bible was written for each of us today. Jesus is alive and can make your life wonderful. She always strived to be a witness for Jesus and most importantly let you know He loves you. She enjoyed writing cards and sending letters to people. She often took blankets to those going through a difficult time. She had a simple statement on the blankets which she believed with all of her heart ‘TRUST GOD!’
