MACON, Ga. — Winter weather and freezing temperatures are quickly approaching Central Georgia.
As such, many are likely looking for a place to stay warm this upcoming week, especially from late Monday evening through Wednesday, which is when the winter storm is expected to hit.
13WMAZ has gathered up several homeless and warming shelters around Central Georgia to help those who need a place to stay. Included is the location, a number they can call and the hours each location is open.

Homeless and warming shelters available in Central GA
Brookdale Resource Center
- Location: 3600 Brookdale Ave in Macon-Bibb

- Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

- Guests may remain in safe shelter during emergent inclement weather
Salvation Army Warming Station
- Location: 1955 Broadway in Macon-Bibb
- Phone: 478-746-8572
- Hours: Women and families and check in at 4:30 p.m., men can check in at 5:00 p.m. Open until 11 p.m.
- Late admissions are allowed with law enforcement or coalition accompaniment.
