On December 13th, 2024, after a year of being absent from the platform, the popular YouTuber, CoryxKenshin, announced his return on his own YouTube channel. Known for his comedic playthrough of horror games, his channel was ranked the fourth most-watched one on the platform in 2021, and as of now, the multi-talented content creator sits just below 20 million user subscriptions.
The announcement video also featured a beautifully animated teaser trailer by BAFTA nominated studio THE LINE (Marvel SNAP, Overwatch, Gorillaz) for CoyxKenshin’s own created upcoming Manga series titled Monsters we Make.
As of writing there isn’t much details about the characters or plot of the upcoming manga soon to come. Yet, by judging by the animated promotional video for the series, it will center on a team of young adult superheroes in armor battling against a mysterious alien or monster force that threatens to destroy the city or world. The tone and the focus of this story showcase some really impressive fight animation sequences and makes it clear that this will be a Shonen Battle styled story with the focus on the fights our characters will be involved with.
CoryxKenshin’s manga Monsters We Make will make its highly anticipated debut on December 16th, 2024. It will be primarily released on the official site for the project. You can access the site as of now but will only be given the option to sign up for the newsletter.
I am sure we will see more news and details about this project from CoryxKenshin on his YouTube channel, but the amazing animation by The Line has me very intrigued. So stay tuned, I might cover the Manga when it debuts. Until next time, my adorable birb nerds!
