After the It Ends With Us director subpoenaed the pop star earlier this month, his attorney made some shocking allegations about why they needed to talk to Blake’s former best friend! And if true, it’s no wonder Tay wants nothing to do with her now! The behavior is diabolical!
Bryan Freedman claimed in a letter to the judge (and a sworn affidavit) that he “received a voicemail from a person very closely linked to Taylor Swift.” The lawyer called back and chatted with the source for an hour, during which he alleged they gave him some dirt about the Gossip Girl alum! The source alleged that Blake tried to extort the Cruel Summer singer! Whoa! According to Freedman’s insider, Ryan Reynolds‘ wife threatened to release private text messages from Taylor if she did not share a public statement of support amid her feud with Justin. Blake would have exposed 10 years worth of texts about the Cats star’s intimate relationship details and more. As if that wasn’t bad enough, she also allegedly demanded Tay to delete their messages with each other.

As we told you, her actions, if true, are awful. You don’t do this to someone you call a friend! Blake got lucky, and the letter was thrown out so the allegations couldn’t be used in court. Justin also dropped the subpoena against Taylor and her law firm, Venable, this week.
Throughout this whole chapter in the legal battle, Freedman never exposed the Taylor source who spilled the extortion tea. The only hint we got from him was that it was someone close to the Grammy winner who came forward. But now, we’ve learned the person’s identity! Prepare to be shocked! And before you assume, it’s not her boyfriend, Travis Kelce! He’s reportedly staying as far away as possible from Blake and Ryan’s legal mess because he doesn’t want to be involved! So who reportedly is it?
According to Dailymail.com on Friday, the leaker was none other than… Scott Swift! Yes, you read that correctly! Taylor’s dad!
Apparently, the 73-year-old went into protective mode when he found out his daughter’s pal attempted to coerce her into publicly supporting her! A source claimed Scott took matters into his own hands and reached out to Freedman. During the call, he allegedly made a deal with Justin’s legal team that if he revealed Blake blackmailed Taylor, they would withdraw the subpoena:
“Scott Swift did not want his daughter to be dragged into this any further and he voluntarily gave up this information as part of a deal that would include [Baldoni’s team] withdrawing their subpoena for Taylor.”
The insider then backed Freedman’s allegations, saying:
“Plain and simple – they tried to extort Taylor by threatening to release private information about her so that she would support a narrative that she was not a part of.”
Wow…
At this time, neither Taylor, Scott, nor Justin have addressed the new report. However, don’t count on a reaction. Certainly not from the Evermore artist!
