What happened to Jennifer Aniston’s home in Bel Air?

An adult man in his 70s reportedly crashed into the gates of Jennifer Aniston’s Bel-Air mansion on Monday afternoon. The LAPD stated that they got the call regarding a crash in the 900 block of Airole Way at 12:20 p.m. on May 5.

The department revealed that the man was lying on the ground when the authorities arrived. TMZ further reported that Aniston’s security rushed over as the crash took place. They waited for the LAPD to arrive, keeping the man at gunpoint. The driver was then reportedly arrested without incident, though TMZ’s source claimed that the driver was checked by an ambulance after complaining of pain.

KTLA reported that the gate is showing signs of damage, and the retractable arm of the front gate was “broken off.”

Aniston purchased the Bel Air home in 2012. The Golden Globe-winning actress purchased the 3.4-acre midcentury mansion for  $20.97 million.

Even after her separation from her former husband, Justin Theroux, in 2018, Aniston continued living in the Bel Air property. While speaking of her Bel Air home, Aniston told Architectural Digest, “I’m all about cozy…. Sexy is important, but comfort is essential.”

She added, “Every corner you turn, you have an experience. Everywhere you look, you get a vista. We worked very hard to get that flow right.” Aniston invited several designers to reimagine her 8,500-square-foot residence.

As per Architectural Digest, Stephen Shadley, Kathleen and Tommy Clements, and Jane Hallworth are some of the designers who helped Aniston bring her vision to life. Originally, Quincy Jones designed the property.

Apart from her Bel Air home, Aniston also holds multiple other properties in Los Angeles, including her most recent 2022 purchase at Montecito when she bought a Mediterranean-style house for $14.8 million from Oprah Winfrey.
