High pressure will be our fair weather friend through Easter weekend.
It will help keep us in a steady south or southwest flow pushing warmer air into the area with highs well into the 80s for both Saturday and Easter Sunday.
Higher elevations in the mountain locations will be just a little cooler.
Finding a forever home: Inside Asheville’s post-storm pet crisis
According to the Asheville Humane Society there was a 15% increase in the number of animals being relinquished due to experiences pet owners were facing after the storm. Foster homes have played a life-saving role for displaced animals, with many turning into “foster failures” — where temporary homes became permanent adoptions. Read more >>>

Business owners and brewers are steadily tracking the impacts of tariffs on breweries in North Carolina. DHS sends notices to immigrants and U.S. citizens to self deport
The Department of Homeland Security is sending out emails to some immigrants instructing them to self deport. But, a senior DHS official tells Spectrum News 1 “notices may have been sent to unintended recipients,” and the department will address issues on a case-by-case basis. Read more >>>
