Glitch Productions (Murder Drones, The Amazing Digital Circus), unveiled the teaser for their newest project, Knights of Guinevere. This Sci-fi psychological thriller and first 2D animated show by the production company is helmed by Dana Terrace, who is best known for the Disney animated series The Owl House. Working alongside her in the project is writer John Bailey Owen (The Owl House, Bunnicula), and Writer and Storyboard artist Zach Marcus (The Owl House, Star vs. The Forces of Evil).
Glitch productions first teased the project on January 16th, 2025 on their X/Twitter account with a teaser image of various posters glued atop a vandalized brick wall. The posters reveal a major character from Knights of Guinevere known as The Princess of Park Planet, as well as notices for Blue Lung Blues and a Keep out warning.
The following day on January 17th, 2025, at 3:02 PM Eastern Time, the Glitch productions X/Twitter account uploaded the teaser and official announcement of the project. The same teaser trailer would be uploaded onto YouTube through their official Glitch productions YouTube account.
The Teaser trailer being only 40 seconds long would introduce us to The Princess as she is asleep atop a stone bed blanketed by flowers and accompanied by various woodland creatures. This imagery draws inspiration from the Disney animated portrayals of Sleeping Beauty and Snow White. Suddenly a match cut is shown revealing what could possibly be also The Princess laying on an operating table, blue blood spilled across the room within a dark room lit red as human operators panic and attempt to control the situation.
I have personally been a fan of Dana Terrace’s works, from The Owl House to her illustrations which vary from her cute art to the grotesque and Macabre. The Owl House, despite being a Disney animated series, has been known to slightly lean into elements of horror throughout its run. Here, I am intrigued to see what Dana Terrace and her team will pull off as they aren’t restrained by the more “PG” imagery under Disney. It even has been confirmed by Dana Terrace on her X/twitter, that there will be animated blood and gore in this show. So expect some very visceral imagery.
As of writing, there isn’t any official release Date, only an estimate for a 2025 release which could be subject to change.
