The 8BitDo Ultimate has two ergonomic back buttons, Hall Effect analog sticks (no stick drift), custom profile switching, and a battery that’ll get you 22 hours of gaming before needing to charge. You get a charging dock that doubles as a matching display with the controller. In addition to Bluetooth, the controller supports 2.4GHz wireless via the included USB adapter, which is stealthily stowed in a compartment on the bottom of the dock.
With 8BitDo’s free Ultimate Software, you can set up three custom profiles, remap inputs, set up macros, and adjust stick, trigger, and rumble sensitivity. The controller syncs wirelessly to the app, which is available on mobile, PC, and Mac, and saves your settings directly to the controller.
