MACON, Ga. — Three inmates from Central State Prison have been charged in relation to death of inmate Hollis Bryant, according to the Department of Corrections.
In an email, they said that Alvin Bernard Yarbary, Antwan Jermaine Parker, and Joshua Reshard Meyers were charged for their involvement in Bryant’s death.
They didn’t provide any additional details.
The case started back on December 17th of 2023, when Bryant was killed.
At the time, 13WMAZ reported that Bryant was stabbed by Carlos Gadsden, who was sentenced to 20 years for child molestation in Chatham County.
Bryant was taken to the Atrium Trauma Center, where he was pronounced dead.
In that report, the Department of Corrections said early indications are that Gadsen was acting in self-defense but the investigation is ongoing and they could not confirm if that is true.
Bryant had been in prison living out a life sentence for a murder in Toombs County.
We have reached out to the Department of Corrections for more information on how the 3 inmates were involved in Bryant’s death, and have not gotten a response yet.
This is still a developing story. 13WMAZ will provide updates when they become available.
