14 Stories Behind the People on Iconic Rock + Metal Album Covers

Have you ever wondered who the models are on the front of some iconic rock and metal album covers?

The artwork on the cover of an album is an essential part of the story that the music tells. Sometimes the artwork is related to the title, sometimes the covers feature pictures of the artist and other times, it’s a bit more ambiguous.

There are a lot of album covers, though, that feature people that may or may not be related to the band in anyway at all. So, who are they? Why were they chosen to be associated with a piece of music, and where are they today?

In some cases, we were able to easily find who the individuals on the covers of certain albums are. Others were a little more difficult to track down, and the history of how they were cast for the projects is vague.
